National Aerial Firefighting Centre

National Aerial Firefighting Centre

The National Aerial Firefighting Centre (NAFC) coordinates and facilitates the procurement of fixed wing and rotary firefighting aircraft for Australian States and Territories. This results in a nationally available fleet which is funded by the Australian Government as well as State and Territory Governments. R&M Aircraft hold 3 NAFC part funded contracts. The first is a 10 week contract to locate an amphibious Fire Boss aircraft at Grafton, NSW, and for it to be held there on Stand-By in readiness for a fire activation. Our other 2 NAFC contracts are both currently located at Orange, NSW. One is for an Air Tractor AT802 Firebombing aircraft to be based here, with a pilot, for 12 weeks on Stand-by. The other is also for 12 weeks duration, and is for our Cessna P337 to be available on Stand-By to provide aerial air attack and crew transport services.
